We’re Shane and Angie Hinchliffe, the proud owners and operators of our family-owned company.

Shane brings over two decades of experience as a Licensed Electrician in the solar industry. He’s been a part of the solar revolution since its early days, witnessing its evolution and growth. But before we launched Solar Partners in 2014, we spent more than 14 years running another company called Hot H2o. It specialised in solar hot water and solar power, giving us an even deeper understanding of the industry’s ins and outs.

Our home and workplace are nestled in the beautiful Blue Mountains, where we share our lives with our three boys. Being a part of this tight-knit community is a source of immense pride for us. We cherish the relationships we’ve built and the trust we’ve earned as a local company.

We’re a family-owned solar retailer and installer based in the Blue Mountains, servicing Greater Sydney and beyond. With over 20 years of experience, we pride ourselves on being your trusted partner in solar. Unlike large sales-driven companies, we take the time to understand your home or business and design solutions that actually work for you.

Do you only install solar, or do you also offer batteries?

We design and install both solar systems, retro fit new batteries and solar-plus-battery packages.

Our approach is to first understand your electricity usage and goals (like reducing bills or increasing energy independence) before recommending the right option.

We partner with trusted brands like Signenergy, Enphase, and Hinen, so whether you want to slash your daytime usage or store power for evenings, we’ve got you covered.

What makes your installations different?

Every installation is carried out by Clean Energy Council (CEC) accredited electricians with decades of hands-on experience.

We don’t subcontract to unknown crews, the people who quote your system are part of the same team who install it. Plus, we back every job with a 10-year workmanship warranty, so you can be confident your system is built to last.

Are there government rebates or finance options available?

Yes. We help you access federal rebates (STCs) for Solar & Battery.

We also offer Industry approved Green Finance payment plans for up to 5 years.

That means you can often install solar or batteries for around the same monthly cost as your power bill but with the benefit of owning your system and reducing your electricity costs long term.

What happens after my system is installed?

Your solar journey doesn’t end on installation day.

We provide a full handover pack, access to your monitoring app, and ongoing support whenever you need it.
